Encouraging young men and women to pursue their dreams and goals.
Mystic Maud Foundation is in honor of one of the original ladies who broke molds and used trades to build her life back in the 1800’s.
Carlotta Thompkins a.k.a. Mystic Maud, Angel of San Antonio, and Lottie Deno. Lottie was a gambler and saloon keeper in a time that was not known to be a line of work for a “Lady”.

Our Foundation
Designed to encourage
The Mystic Maud Foundation is designed to encourage young men and women to pursue their dreams and goals to forge their own way in the world. Through hard work and determination, they can succeed and put their own imprint in the space they occupy.
Lottie, according to the historians, because of her tenacity became the inspiration for Miss Kitty on Gunsmoke. For Lottie the tools of her trade were simple, a deck of cards, some beer and couple of bottles of Rye Whiskey. Tools for tradesmen today are more complicated and expensive. However, the lack of some of the basic tools could hinder their employment opportunities. Our goal is to award a good starter kit of tools to qualifying graduates to enable them to have the best leg up in their new career, be it HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.
